This Privacy Policy applies to the PancakeSwap browser extension ("the Extension"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This policy outlines our practices regarding data collection and usage.
The Extension is designed to be a simple, privacy-focused tool. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal data, browsing history, or IP addresses.
To provide you with real-time price updates, the Extension makes direct requests to the public CoinGecko API (api.coingecko.com). These requests only contain the symbol of the cryptocurrency (PancakeSwap/CAKE) and the target currencies (USD, EUR). No user-identifying information is sent with these requests.
The Extension uses your browser's local storage (chrome.storage) solely to save the last fetched price and the timestamp of that fetch. This data never leaves your device and is only used to display the price quickly when you open the extension popup.
As mentioned, the Extension fetches data from the CoinGecko API. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policy. We do not use any tracking, analytics, or advertising third-party software within the Extension.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
